TDS levels creeping up or strange taste in water? Learn the optimal replacement cycles for sediment, carbon, and RO membranes.
Water purifiers are your family's frontline defense against bacteria, heavy metals, and high TDS water. But neglecting filter changes can turn your purifier into a breeding ground for contaminants.
Recommended Replacement Schedule:
- Pre-Sediment Filter: Every 3 to 6 months (especially in areas with high mud or rust in municipal/borewell water).
- Pre-Carbon & Post-Carbon Filters: Every 6 to 9 months to absorb chlorine, pesticides, and unpleasant odor.
- RO Membrane: Every 12 to 24 months, depending on your raw water TDS and daily usage.
- UV Lamp & UF Filter: Every 12 months for 100% bacterial disinfection.
How to test: Check your water TDS with a digital meter every month. If the output TDS exceeds 20% of your initial baseline, schedule an immediate filter servicing.
